Sapphire washers can be manufactured with larger outer and inner diameters to accommodate broader applications. Due to sapphire's inertness, they serve as excellent insulators. Moreover, the material's compressive strength enables it to withstand most operating conditions.

- Ultra-High Hardness: Mohs hardness of 9 (second only to diamond), scratch-resistant.

- Chemical Corrosion Resistance: Resistant to strong acids/alkalis (except HF).

- High-Temperature Resistance: Operational up to 1800°C (short-term).

- Low Friction Coefficient: Surface polished to Ra < 0.01 μm, minimizing wear.

- Insulation Properties: Resistivity > 10¹⁴ Ω·cm.
